Have you read Clipped
Wings by Helena Hunting (@HelenaHunting) yet?
Have you? Have you? Have youuuuuuuu?!?!?! When I first read it, I texted a
certain someone and the convo went something like this:
Me: You haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaave to read this like NOW.
Certain Someone: I’m busy. I have a lot of books to read. Do
you know how many unread books I have on my Kindle? I’ll get to it. Blah…blah…blah.
Me: No. I don’t think you understand. This isn't just me
telling you to read a book because I love it. It’s me telling you to read a
book because YOU will love it. Are you listening to me?!?!?!?
Certain Someone: Yes, I’m listening. I’ll get to it.
Promise.
*In my head: What do I do? What do I do? How do I convince…light
bulb!*
Me: Google “apadravya.” Hayden has one. *eyebrow wiggle*
Certain Someone: Can’t. I’m at work and my service sucks.
Me: *Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Let’s just say I googled it for her
and it came up with all of these images and I was on my phone so I couldn't get
the link to copy so I had to send her a screen shot so I may have accidentally
sent her something that could be considered porn. Maybe*
What is the point of this story you ask? The point is that
even after I accidentally sent her porn she still didn’t read it immediately!
Ughhhhhhhhhh. *insert eye roll* I tried. I did my best. But then!!!! Then she
finally read it and do you know what?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? She LOVES it!!! Loves,
loves, loves!!! AND I bet that she more than “somewhat” trusts my book recommendations
now. Maybe.
So…without sending you porn, may I highly suggest that you
read Clipped Wings? You can find my
review on Steph’s blog:
AND if you haven’t one-clicked already, here’s the link:
Oh! And also…Clipped
Wings is set in Chicago! For this Chicago girl, that’s a win! I’m currently
in a fight with the town I love because it doesn't seem to realize that it’s
almost spring and it keeps snowing!!! Just stop already. I’ll be over here
complaining about the weather while you google apadravya:)
Have a beautiful day, beautiful people!!!
xoxo
